This guide explains how to upload and manage CAD models in WrenchML, including supported formats, best practices, and troubleshooting tips.
Supported File Formats
WrenchML primarily supports industry-standard CAD formats:
- STEP (.step, .stp) - Primary recommended format
- IGES (.iges, .igs) - Supported with some limitations
- STL (.stl) - Supported for mesh-based models
- GLB/GLTF (.glb, .gltf) - Supported for pre-converted 3D models

For best results, STEP format is recommended as it preserves the most accurate geometric information.
